RG3 Redskins Injury Update
We have an RG3 Redskins Injury Update for this Sunday’s game when the Washington Redskins face the Minnesota Vikings and Adrian Peterson. Robert Griffin the III will be cleared to play this Sunday barring any unforeseen set backs during the Redskins practices.
Below was our NFL Week 1 recap: Washington Redskins at New Orleans Saints
This Sunday afternoon matchup could be the premier football game for many NFL fans because in the wake the Saints bounty scandal, many leaders in the Saints locker room are missing such as head coach Sean Payton. Joe Vitt, the former linebackers coach for the Saints, has now been promoted to interim head coach. While the Saints organization will be buzzing with storylines, this could be the first time we see the Redskins rookie quarterback on the field.
Robert Griffin III was drafted out of Baylor to become the new quarterback for the Redskins. Back in May, the Redskins went ahead and squashed any talk about RG3 not being the starting Quarterback during week 1 of the NFL season. Rex Grossman will be taking a spot on the bench while RG3 gets the keys to the offense. We really don’t know what to expect when RG3 takes the field against the Saints. This game is a complete toss up in terms of who is going to win and it will come down to which ever team wants it more. Drew Brees must put the Saints on his back and carry the team to a victory because this team may not be able to on defense and special teams alone. This game will be played at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana at 1:00PM. The game will be shown nationally on Fox.
