Browns Raiders Week 4
Looking for Browns Raiders Week 4 betting odds? They have slightly changed with Baker Mayfield making his start.
Now that they have gotten their first win since 2015 out of the way. The Cleveland Browns will try to win their second consecutive game when they take on the Oakland Raiders. THe Raiders are still in search of their first win under the new Jon Gruden era. The game will be played on Sunday, September 30 at the Oakland Coliseum. It is scheduled to begin at 4:05 PM. ET.
Cleveland’s offense looked terrible in two of their first three games. Quarterback Tyrod Taylor looked out of synch against the Pittsburgh Steelers in their first game and in the first half of last week’s game against the New York Jets.
An injury to Taylor forced the Browns to turn to rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield. Mayfield was selected with the number one pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. Mayfield immediately made an impact on offense and moved the ball around like a seasoned pro.
The Browns managed to fight their way back in the game and got their first win of the year. This is thanks to their rookie quarterback. Baker completed 17 of 23 passes for 201 yards. The team will be hoping Mayfield has another great game and leads them to a win over the Raiders.
Also, Cleveland’s defense also deserves credit for their win last week. This is so because they have played very well in the first three games. They will likely apply a lot of pressure on Derek Carr and try to force him into turning the ball over.
Baker Mayfield Starting Quarterback
The Raiders blew a great chance to get their first win of the season when they faced the Miami Dolphins in their last game. The Raiders had a 17 to 14 lead at the end of the third quarter but they were unable to close out the Dolphins, who outscored the Raiders 14-3 in the fourth quarter. Now, they will have to put the loss behind them and focus on getting a win over the Browns.
Therefore, Derek Carr completed 27 of 39 passes for 345 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions, bringing his regular season totals to two touchdowns and five interceptions.
Carr’s disappointing play this season is surprising because Gruden is supposed to be a great quarterbacks coach, but Carr seems to be regressing.
The Raiders need to have more balance in their offense. The team can run the ball more than they have to keep defenses on their heels. Their defense also has to do a better job defending the pass after giving up 332 yards and four touchdowns to the Dolphins.
The Raiders are favored to win this game by three points. The over/under on total points scored 45.
Also, the Raiders have struggled offensively this season and their defense hasn’t been able to get crucial stops when needed. With Cleveland’s strong defense and a confident rookie quarterback, the Browns should be able to cover the spread in this game.
In conclusion, Browns Raiders Week 4 betting take the Raiders.
