2016 NFL Betting Odds for Houston Texans
The Houston Texans are a team looking to continue last years success. The Texans made the playoffs last year, however they benefited from playing in perhaps the worst division in football last year, the AFC South. Every team in the division appeared to get better this offseason and the Texans will have to be better if they want to make the playoffs again.
Head coach Bill O’Brien made his impact felt in year one. O’Brien showed that he is not afraid to change things and is committed to winning. His success with the offense in New England is proof of his talents. O’Brien will be looking to fix his situation at quarterback to take the Texans back to the playoffs.
The Texans may finally have some stability at the quarterback with the addition of Brock Osweiler. Osweiler played well last year in Denver in relief of Peyton Manning, and many thought the Broncos should have stayed with him. He should be a solid upgrade from Brian Hoyer. With weapons like DeAndre Hopkins and Braxton Miller, the Texans have the potential to be much better on offense.
The odds makers have given the Texans a 40/1 chance of winning the Super Bowl. Chances are they won’t be the last team standing at the end of the season but they could be looking at another playoff birth.
