Patriots at Vikings NFL Week 2
One of the biggest games in NFL Week 2 action is a matchup between the New England Patriots and Minnesota Vikings. Breaking news came out yesterday that Adrian Peterson has been indicted on child abuse charges and turned himself in on Saturday after an arrest warrant was issued Friday.
Local police are alleging that Peterson was intoxicated and hit a child with a wooden stick after the child pushed another child off of a video motorbike game.
What does this mean for NFL bettors? Well, we liked the Patriots originally as -2.5 road favorites prior to this news, but after hearing this the line has jumped up to -6 points. 6 points will be a much tougher hill to climb but we still believe that the Patriots led by Tom Brady can cover the 6 point spread.
The current Total for this game in NFL Week 2 betting action is sitting at Over/Under 48 points. If you think that the Vikings can pull together a miraculous game under all this media pressure then take a look at the +170 moneyline.
Although if you want to bet on this game we say you take the Patriots at -6 points and don’t even bother watching this game because all they are going to be talking about is the Adrian Peterson and Ray Rice respective debacles.
